I came from England in 1990 and immediately joined the Maricopa Community College District, the largest community college system in the United States.  Since 1996 I've taught Computer Science at Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) and hold the position of Division Chair.

Over the years  I've traveled to many countries and lived  in  Israel and Canada.  My abiding love  is music.  I'm a  clarinetist and flutist.

I'm presently involved with the inspire.teach program at EMCC.   This program supports and encourages the choice of teaching to minority students.  Working in tandem with Dr. Deborah Raffin.   the learning community links CIS105 (Survey of Computer Information Systems) and EDU 221 (Education Principles).  The learning community has a number of overarching objectives, but the central thrust is to ensure that those intending to enter the field of education are computer literate, pedagogically aware of technology's role in the classroom, and well able to integrate technology into the teaching and learning process.
